Sen. Richard Gordon on Monday urged the public to cooperate in implementing health measures to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
“People must be part of the solution,” stressed the chairman of the Philippine Red Cross during an interview over CNN Philippines.
“It’s a matter of people cooperating, wearing masks, distancing, washing hands. That’s the most important thing. We can work if you do that,” he explained. The senator observed that the government still needs a lot of improvement in the “case finding and isolation” of persons with COVID-19.The lawmaker disclosed that he wrote a letter to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III about the slow pace in informing persons that they have tested positive for COVID-19.Because of this, Gordon said he offered to Duque that the PRC be allowed to help in the government’s contact tracing and isolation efforts.
