GOPers rip Twitter after handing of Post's Hunter Biden laptop story is exposed
House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy, Sens. Rand Paul and Josh Hawley, and the House Republicans’ official Twitter account all called out the company after Elon Musk shared the so-called “Twitter Files” — detailing the platform’s faulty rationale to block the Post’s Oct. 14, 2020 expose.
“We’re learning in real-time how Twitter colluded to silence the truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop just days before the 2020 presidential election,”In the same tweet, McCarthy vowed that when House Republicans officially take majority control of the lower chamber they “will get answers for the American people and the accountability they deserve.”
“This is what collusion looks like,” read a tweet from the House Republicans’ Twitter account. Their tweet was in reference to revelations that “the Biden team” asked the company on Oct. 24, 2020 to delete a series of tweets after the Post published the Hunter Biden story. It was unclear what the since-deleted tweets said.
