The Senate Armed Services Cmte. has approved a proposal to strip Confederate names from military bases and other Defense Dept. facilities within the next 3 years, setting up a possible clash with President Trump on the issue.
. The Army has 10 military posts named after Confederate military officers, including Fort Bragg in North Carolina, Fort Benning in Georgia and Fort Hood in Texas.
Seriously failed presidential candidate, Senator Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren, just introduced an Amendment on the renaming of many of our legendary Military Bases from which we trained to WIN two World Wars.
"And so I think this is a step in the right direction, this was the right time for it, and I think it sends the right message," Rounds said., D-Calif., said at her weekly news conference Thursday that the base names, as well as Confederate statues in the Capitol,"have to go."
