Senators Tim Scott, R-S.C., Mike Lee, R-Utah, Ron Johnson, R-Wis., and Rep. Andy Harris, R-Md., are hosting a news conference on Wednesday. Republicans are planning a bill that would help implement Trump's tax policies, lower the federal deficit and enact conservative priorities in 2025. Reconciliation is a way Congress can expedite certain federal budget legislation in the Senate and bypass the filibuster. Lee slammed Congress for the lack of restoring executive power to the president during an interview on Fox News' “The Ingraham Angle.” He believes Congress should repeal the Impoundment Control Act, which blocks the president from cutting spending. 'It ties the hands of the presidents of the United States in order to not spend the full amount that Congress has given them, in fact to delay it for 45 days. The president has to come back, hat in hand to Congress, asking for permission to do that,' Lee said during the interview.'That why we need to introduce the legislation that I've introduced in the Senate and that representative Andrew Clyde of Georgia introduced in the House to repeal this bill that's stopping presidents from being able to clean up messes like this one,' Lee said on Tuesda
