The House Oversight Committee announced its investigating Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate over alleged 'longstanding connections' to China.

The committee's chairman, U.S. Rep. James Comer, stated on Friday that he notified FBI Director Christopher Wray about the investigation into Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Walz spoke alongside the President of a Chinese organization that the State Department exposed as a CCP effort to influence and co-opt local leaders.
According to Comer's letter to Wray, Walz was mentioned to the committee when they were briefed by the FBI on April 22 and July 17 - before the governor was named Harris VP pick.
