Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., claimed in a social media post that the press cast aside President Joe Biden for a vice president hired in a diversity, equity and inclusion initiative.on X. “The media propped up this president, lied to the American people for three years, and then dumped him for our DEI vice president .”
“The best they can do is Kamala Harris. She was a disaster on the border. I don’t know if she can find the border with a compass and a map,” Rep. Burchett said. “And so, I think the Democrats are making their bed and they’re gonna have to lay in it.” In announcing Sunday that he was stepping out of the presidential race, Biden called Harris an “extraordinary partner” and later endorsed her to replace him at the top of their campaign ticket.“My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President. And it’s been the best decision I’ve made,” Bidenon X. “Today I want to offer my full support and endorsement for Kamala to be the nominee of our party this year.
