Google's venture fund has quietly laid off 8% of its employees as it shakes up one of its earliest innovative services
"In this rapidly changing market, we're constantly evolving GV's operational services to best meet our portfolio's needs," GV CEO David Krane told Business Insider in a statement.
The employees let go were involved with company's investor operations and included someone focused on events, members of the partnership team, and employees focused on recruiting engineers to work with its portfolio companies, an inside source told Business Insider. A spokesperson confirmed that the layoffs had been made. The news was first reported by Axios' Dan Primack in his Pro Rata newsletter.
