Google joins Elementl Power to back early-stage nuclear projects focused on clean, reliable baseload power.
Google has signed a major agreement with Elementl Power to develop three advanced nuclear projects in the United States. The deal will support the growing power needs of data centers and artificial intelligence infrastructure.Each site will produce at least 600 megawatts of clean energy. Google will provide early-stage development capital to move the projects forward. The sites will also be eligible for commercial power offtake by Google once completed.
Companies are investing in sustainable energy to power expanding digital infrastructure. Google previously announced a power agreement with Kairos Power, an SMR developer.
