Google said in a statement Tuesday afternoon it fixed an issue that caused its "where to vote" feature to populate for users looking to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, but not those searching for information about how to vote for former President Donald Trump.
Social media users flagged that Google would display its "where to vote" map feature when a user searched "where to vote for Harris." Meanwhile, the map feature would not appear when "where to vote for Trump" was entered into the Google search bar.the issue stemmed from the fact that a county in Texas, Harris County, shares a name with the vice president. There is no "Trump County" in the United States.
