A man named Cantu is being hailed a hero after pulling a woman from a burning car following a head-on collision on Interstate 37 in San Antonio, Texas.
A man named Cantu pulled a Pleasanton woman, Emmalee “Emma” Bond, out of a burning vehicle after a head-on collision on Interstate 37. Cantu witnessed the wrong-way driver and called dispatch before the accident occurred. He extinguished a fire extinguisher on the burning vehicle and helped Bond escape along with two other Good Samaritans. Bond expressed gratitude for Cantu's heroism, stating, “He didn’t have to stop, but he did and that’s what makes him a great person.
” Cantu believes he was put in the right place at the right time, saying “God put me here for a reason,”. Both Cantu and Bond have met since the incident and are grateful for each other's presence
