The GOOD party confirmed on Monday that Peter de Villiers, a former Springbok coach turned politician, had been fired following an internal investigation into sexual misconduct allegations.
The party’s National Management Committee terminated De Villiers’ membership in the party and removed him from the Western Cape Provincial Legislature.Earlier this month, the party announced that it would hold a formal disciplinary hearing.

The party appointed an independent chairman for the disciplinary hearing, Advocate Lionel Esau, who presided over proceedings, as well as an independent initiator, Advocate Peter Cyster, who served as the prosecutor.
