Ranvir, 44, said: "This is the day that you were saying, 'we'll get there some day, there will be red on the UK map when you only expected in Africa and Southern Spain'." Laura, who stood next to a red map of Britain, replied: "I genuinely didn't think in my forecasting career of 20 years this would happen.
"So when people are saying, 'this is summer just get out and enjoy it' this isn't summer, summer is 23 maybe 24 and we haven't got the infrastructure. We're just not built for it."
