Eclipse billboards around Cuyahoga County are causing a big controversy. They claim that Lorain County is the “only place for totality.”
Cuyahoga County, Ohio -
“Our thing was promoting Lorain County as the front-row seat for the 100% totality of the eclipse,” says Commissioner David Moore with Lorain County. “What we are promoting is, we are telling the Cuyahoga County Folks, ‘Hey you want that 100% totality, come on over next door’,” says Commissioner Moore.
The problem most people have isn’t with the billboard itself. It is with the wording and the false claims to attract tourists.
