Ed, 34, an 18-handicapper from Berkhamsted, Herts, has been staying with his in-laws and was playing at Styal, Cheshire. Meanwhile, Tony Clement aced the 132-yard, par-three fifth — 27 minutes after starting his round at Farrington Park near Bristol on Wednesday.“I didn’t have much expectation having not played for so long so you could imagine my shock and surprise when my 7-iron shot went in the hole.
