SAN FRANCISCO -- An out of sorts Tiger Woods struggled on the greens for the second straight day as his PGA Championship hopes evaporated on Saturday.
Woods, who barely made the cut on Friday afternoon, shot a two-over 72 for the second straight round at the TPC Harding Park in San Francisco."I am frustrated I didn't get anything going early," said Woods, who finished three rounds at two-over 212. "I got a couple of bad angles and miss shots in spots I can't play from and I made bogeys.
"I still have the last round of a major to play. Hopefully tomorrow I will shoot something in red and get it to under par for the tournament," he said. But his first birdie of the day didn't come until the 16th hole when he drained a 14 footer to get to three over for the tournament. Heading into Saturday's round, Woods needed to vault past 42 other golfers to get to the top of the leaderboard at an event he has won four times previously.
