Lane told People he wanted to design something “classic” for Vassos, 61, and he drew inspiration from her “sophistication,” “elegance” and “integrity,” as well as the 1920s Art Deco era.“It was just one of those things that was kismet,” Lane recalled. “I think he understood the vibrations and the energy that went into that ring.”
