AFL: The First Crack panel discuss Brisbane's problem with players burning each other and not passing it to the easier option in front of goal.
BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA - JULY 21: Taylor Adams of the Swans warms up prior to the 2024 AFL Round 19 match between the Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans at The Gabba on July 21, 2024 in Brisbane , Australia . After heartbreakingly missing out on a premiership medallion in 2023, a veteran Sydney midfielder could be resigned to a similar fate this season.
This season, having taken to the Harbour City for another shot at a premiership, Adams might miss out not because of injury, but because of the flurry of talent soon to return to Sydney’s finals line-up. “It’s going to be a tough call, but I think if those three boys are fit going into the first final — with the team they’ve got and the balance they have — I think Taylor Adams is going to be the story to miss out.”
“And I know it’s a bad look, and I know it’s not the absolute perfect preparation going into a final, but I’m not losing one .
