So viewers were understandably confused when friends and siblings still appeared on the sofas together tonight - even though they are not part of the same household.
Best pals Jenny and Lee, siblings Sophie and Pete, and Ellie and Izzi were among the stars to raise eyebrows in this evening's episode of the show. However, it was also noted that Siddiqui patriarch Sid, who is in his 70s, was missing this week, with one of his other son Raza joining Baasit and Umar this evening.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer queried: "When was this weeks #gogglebox recorded? Not all these people live together do they?! #socialdistancing"Another added: "I love #Gogglebox but many of these family members and friends don’t live with each other. #SocialDistancing". A third asked: "Surely the Leeds sisters, Jenny, Lee and the Blackpool siblings shouldn't be there together?!"
