Friends of a Texas woman whose wheelchair was stolen last week after a San Antonio concert have launched a GoFundMe to replace it. Tara Ryan and her fiancé Hunter Kosa attended last week's Blink-182 concert, and her wheelchair was stolen from the Frost Bank Center's parking lot, according to details in the GoFundMe campaign.
Tara Ryan suffers from Friedreich's Ataxia, a rare inherited disorder that causes progressive damage to the body's nervous system.
Following the show, Ryan's fiancé pulled their car up front and helped get into the vehicle. Unfortunately, the couple drove off, leaving Ryan's custom-made wheelchair behind, according to the online fundraiser. Even though they quickly realized the mistake and turned around, the wheelchair had vanished by the time they returned.
"It will take a few months to craft her a new chair," the GoFundMe notes."The sooner we can start, the better. Her family welcomes donations of any size, and we thank you for taking the time to donate."
