A fundraiser is looking to raise money for the Harrisburg toy store that was seriously damaged when a car smashed into its front window.

The Treasure Trove Toy Store on 2nd and Pine Street was struck by a car on Oct. 6. The car that struck the building went on to hit and kill a 68-year-old pedestrian.A GoFundMe organized by Kristen Marshall, who is a friend of the toy store owners, is looking to raise $10,000 to support the store. In the fundraiser's description, Marshall said the business is more than just a toy store -- it also helps with a lot of outreach for the homeless population.
Jennifer and Jason Crocenzi have helped several people off the streets using the store and its resources, she said. Donations will be used to get the store back up and running faster and also help the owners resume their mission of helping the homeless population. In a Facebook update, The Treasure Trove said Wednesday that it has completed a temporary store front as it now waits for the glass and other building materials to fully repair the store. It's a project complicated by the fact that the store is located in a historic building, it said.
