According to the organizer of the fundraiser, Monday Igbinomwanhia, the 8-year-old's father was picking up the boy and two sisters from a babysitter at the apartment complex when another child alerted him to the fact that the 8-year-old and one of his sisters were drowning. Both children were pulled from the pool by EMS. Medics were able to revive the girl, but the boy was unresponsive and rushed to the hospital.The boy, named William, went into a coma before he passed away on Oct. 10, the GoFundMe says.
Now the fundraiser hopes to raise $15,000 to cover costs related to medical expenses, the funeral and burial.that officers responded to the pool at the Whisperwood Apartments pool, located on the 3600 block of Brookridge Terrace, around 5:30 p.m. on July 31 after receiving reports of two "unresponsive juveniles," and that a criminal investigation was launched.
Susquehanna Township Police announced Monday that its investigation into the drowning death has concluded, and no charges will be filed.Stay Connected
