Two GoFundMe campaigns started in the past 24 hours have raised over $3 million in response to Saturday's shooting at a Trump rally.
A shooting at Donald Trump's campaign rally Saturday evening in Butler, Pennsylvania, injured three people, including the former president, and killed one attendee, prompting an outpouring of support for the victims and their families, with GoFundMe donations surpassing $3.36 million within 24 hours from two separate campaigns.
On Saturday, Meredith O'Rourke, a senior Trump adviser and the national finance director of his 2024 presidential campaign, launched a 'President Trump Authorized' GoFundMe page in support of the victims and their families. The fundraising effort aimed to reach a goal of $1 million, but as of Sunday evening has smashed that, surpassing $2.8 million.The donation site has received over 37,000 individual donations.
