Since its reveal in the Chapter 6 Battle Pass, Fortnite has been abuzz with the arrival of a colossal guest: Godzilla. While crossovers are commonplace in the gaming world, the thunderous introduction of a giant lizard takes things to a whole new level. As Godzilla stomps around the Island, players are faced with the thrilling challenge of taking down this legendary titan. But the battle isn't just about destruction.
Players can also become Godzilla themselves for a match of exhilarating rampage. Defeating another player who has transformed into the Japanese creature earns a special medallion, a testament to your combat prowess. Transforming into Godzilla isn't particularly difficult, but a bit of luck is needed. Blue and purple portals randomly appear across the Chapter 6 Island, offering a chance to step into the monster's shoes. Entering a portal instantly completes the transformation, equipping you with Godzilla's formidable skillset: a devastating heat ray, a ground-shaking stomp, and even a mighty roar that allows you to detect enemy players. However, be warned, these portals have a mere 20% chance of spawning in each Battle Royale match, meaning you might have to play dozens of rounds before you get your chance to unleash Godzilla's fury.Claiming the coveted Godzilla Medallion is no easy feat. Triumph over the fan-favorite lizard is necessary to obtain this gleaming prize. At first, dealing damage to Godzilla might seem like an uphill battle, but keep an eye out for glowing spots on its skin. These are weak points where your attacks will inflict extra damage. Fragments will even fall from the beast when you hit these glowing spots, granting you three dashes and healing you for 40 HP. Once Godzilla collapses, the player who dealt the most damage earns the medallion. Since multiple players are likely vying for the same glory, securing the Godzilla Medallion is just as challenging as becoming Godzilla itself. Holding the medallion allows you to use a dash ability, making it a perfect companion for melee weapons like the Typhoon Blade
