God of War fans have been eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series, and Sony has finally delivered with the announcement of 'God of War: Laufey ' during the June State of Play.
The game is a spin-off from the main series, focusing on a new cast of characters and set in the Everywhen, a god-filled afterlife. Faye, Kratos' wife from the 2018 game, takes the lead as the protagonist, with Deborah Ann Woll voicing the character.
Faye is a skilled and determined fighter, and her journey will be guided by two sentient cosmic beings: Phranque, a gelatinous cube voiced by Jack Quaid, and Rue, a sentient ribbon attached to Faye's sword, voiced by Perlina Lau. The primary antagonist is Sekhmet, the Egyptian god of war, who captures Faye at the start of the game.
