The short-wheelbase Chevrolet Silverado would be the perfect modern successor to the beloved K5 Blazer
Flat Out Autos has unveiled a modern-day Chevrolet K5 Blazer at the SEMA Show that looks so good you could be excused for thinking it was an official Chevy project. The company out of Arkansas first made headlines in early 2021 when it took a modern Chevrolet Tahoe and transformed the exterior to look like a classic K5 Blazer. For this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Flat Out Autos started out with a full-size Silverado and spent months turning it into a much smaller truck with a removable roof.
Read: This Modern-Day Chevy K5 Blazer Will Cost You $70,000 Obviously, the reduced size of the truck means the cabin is smaller than a standard Silverado. However, the builder hasn’t simply removed the rear seats and made the truck into a two-seater. Instead, the rear seats have been repositioned into the bed and a carbon fiber roof has been developed to sit over them. Of course, this roof can be easily removed should passengers want to get the wind in their air along an off-road trail.
