Global coronavirus death toll passes 230,000: AFP tally COVID19
The global death toll from the coronavirus surpassed 230,000 on Thursday, according to an Agence France-Presse tally at 1900 GMT compiled from official sources.Europe is the worst hit continent with 137,714 deaths, while the United States has registered the most for one country with 61,717.US job losses pile up
The outbreak of the novel coronavirus, which erupted late last year in the Chinese city of Wuhan, has forced more than half of humanity to live under some kind of lockdown.
