The Glenville Tarblooders defeated the Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions in dominant fashion.
Glenville , seeded fifth in Division VI, Region 13, defeated No. 12 Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin , 47-20, in a first-round game of the OHSAA playoffs.
The senior running back ran on all of Glenville’s seven plays in their first series, gaining all 55 yards on the ground and ultimately scoring on a 3-yard run for a 7-3 lead.By late in first half, Glenville extended the lead to 26-3, with all four first-half touchdowns coming from the run game. The Lions didn’t score again until their sixth series of the game, where Lipowski found wide receiver Brendan Sawitke, in the end zone for 35 yards.
The Tarblooders kept a hold on the second half with three touchdowns, including a 46-yard rushing score by Newell and a 33-yard connection from Greenwood to London Hearn.
