Glen Powell Weighs in on Twisters Kiss Scene Debate, Feels Everybody Wins

Glen Powell thinks everybody’s still a “winner” and finds it amusing that audiences actually “care” about Twisters.

, Twisters — a standalone sequel to the Bill Paxton-led 1996 Twister — centers on a storm chasers’ efforts to tame a massive tornado in Oklahoma. While the film accumulated impressive box office earnings, most viewers were not happy with the missing kiss scene between Powell’s Tyler Owens and“I’m taking it very personally! I’m sure you’ve seen the behind-the-scenes, where I did get to kiss Daisy Edgar-Jones, which really is all that counts.

He continued, “There’s so much funny stuff coming out of it. It’s fun. That’s what summer movies are about. It creates this conversation and cultural moment, and people dress up and do the thing. It’s been really awesome. So, kiss or no kiss, everybody’s a winner.”, the scene didn’t make it to the film’s final cut. It was then revealed that the director opted not to include the kissing scene.

Instead, the director thinks it’s better to end things with Kate “being able to continue doing what she’s doing” and that he thinks it’s a better ending.
