Scottish Water have asked people to always check beforehand
Taking to Instagram, the corporation told locals - including those in Glasgow - that every day water samples need to be randomly checked in Scotland. This is to ensure that the drinking water we all consume is at its highest quality.
But to make sure households only allow official Scottish Water works to carry out checks, they are urging people to remember three words to avoid being scammed. In order to protect yourself and avoid bogus calls, they have said before they agree to anything, always think 'Card, Check, Call'.Sign up to Glasgow Live's newsletter Get all the latest Glasgow news and headlines sent straight to your inbox twice a day by signing up to our free newsletter.
