Some trains are still affected by major flooding on Saturday with ScotRail confirming that today's (Monday, October 9) service between Glasgow and Inverness will 'definitely' not resume.

The disruption caused by heavy rain in Glasgow over the weekend is set to cause further issues - with train services hit hard by the aftermath of flooding.

Train services were cancelled or finished earlier while motorists were advised to delay travelling if possible. According to ScotRail, some areas had seen a month's worth of rain in a 24-hour period - and there's more to come.The Met Office has issued a yellow alert for rain which will come into effect at 6am on Tuesday , lasting until 9pm that night.
