Pupils at a school in Glasgow have welcomed five fluffy ducklings into the world ahead of Easter Sunday.
They were able to enjoy a fortnight of 'pure joy' with their new classmates and had beaming smiles across their faces.Hatched during British Science Week, the ducklings were aptly called Belle , Wilbur , Pi , Wizzy, and Pluto. Throughout the project, pupils practised their reading, focusing on books including ‘Watch me grow, Farm Animals’ and ‘I wish that I had duck feet’. They were also taught the importance of taking care of the ducklings, and what they require for a safe, healthy and happy life.
Clare Sweeney, Head of Junior School at Kelvinside Academy, said: “Bringing ducklings back to Kelvinside Academy for a second year was eagerly anticipated after such a wonderful experience in 2022. It provides an invaluable opportunity to learn and develop through meaningful, hands-on experiences.
