'We are looking at Glasgow, street by street, community by community, and finding ways to connect and improve our local neighbourhoods.'
New designs influenced by the opinions of local residents show how four Glasgow neighbourhoods could look in the future.

There are a lot of areas, for example Langside Monument, that look neglected and it will need to be maintained. We will need funds for that.”
“There are a number of opportunities which will allow us to deliver on some of the activities described here. In terms of the maintenance, you will have to forgive me that some of the pictures look too glossy as the majority of projects are on existing infrastructure.”Highlights of these designs include the visualisation of greenspace enhancements to the Dummy Railway Path in the north of the city, and proposals for improved public realm and connectivity at Carntyne and Riddrie in the east.
Following the meeting, councillor Angus Millar, city convener for climate and transport said: "I’m delighted to see the Concept Design Reports published for this first set of Liveable Neighbourhoods, which really bring to life the transformative nature of this programme.
