The £11.2million project being supported by Glasgow City Council will provide almost 50 new homes for rent.

The developers have said all the homes will have low-carbon features, including solar panels, energy-efficient gas heating and high levels of insulation, as well as high-speed, fibre-optic internet connection. Frank McCafferty, Wheatley Group director of repairs and assets, said: “We know how new homes can transform communities and this development will play a big part in the continuing regeneration of this part of Glasgow’s east end.
