A police officer told councillors that the driver was given five points on his licence and was fined over £300.
A private hire car driver convicted of driving “without due care and attention” has had his licence renewal bid turned down.
Sukhwinder Singh asked Glasgow City Council to extend his licence by another three years, but Police Scotland objected to the application. An officer told the licensing committee that it had been alleged the driver “did strike a pedestrian” after driving “without due care and attention”.He added the driver was convicted after appearing in court in June this year, and given five points on his licence.Police Scotland argued the applicant was “not a fit and proper person to be granted a private hire car driver’s licence”.
