Food was found scattered all over the floor
Volunteers were left gutted as they made their way to the Free Church of Scotland on Holmfauldhead Place on Thursday, July 7.
The entrance was broken open and food items were left strewn over the floor of the venue following the incident. Despite the upsetting scene, volunteers powered through to ensure they could provide for those in need. One volunteer told Glasgow Live: "We were adamant that the foodbank should go ahead as it's not the people who need the food's fault. We did manage to get a new supply of food and also operate on the biggest scale so far , over 50 people were helped out.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101 quoting reference 0997 of 6 July, 2023.”
