10 fire appliances were on the scene to battle the blaze
Emergency services sped to a city centre building fire last night which crews battled until the early hours of this morning.
Police and 10 fire appliances rushed to Napiershall Lane at around 10pm on Wednesday night following reports of a blaze at a property on the street. Fire crews remained on the scene until the inferno was extinguished in the early hours of this morning.A witness told Glasgow Live that a section Great Western Road and Napiershall Street had been shut off while emergency services tried to control the fire.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire crews attended a fire after receiving a 999 call at 10.04pm on March 1 to Napiershall Lane in Glasgow. "It was a reported building fire. There were a total of 10 appliance on the scene until the incident was closed.Police Scotland say they were on the scene to assist with traffic management.
