The former manager claims he was unfairly dismissed.
A Glasgow furniture store boss sacked from his £100,000 a year job has been told he can't purse an employment tribunal claim because he was too late in making it.
The former shop manager had suffered a heart attack and the loss of his father two years earlier, and developed depression in the aftermath. However at the time of his dismissal he was no longer taking anti-depressants. "Whilst she was in a coma, he would be sitting with her at the hospital for substantial periods of time. Even after she came out of the coma, he would continue to visit her on a very regular basis.
The report pointed out: "I entirely accepted the claimant’s evidence regarding his poor mental health at the time which was caused by him losing his job and also his mother’s unfortunate illness.
