Glasgow cops said scammers are using PayPal's money request service to steal money from users.
PayPal users are being warned by city cops about a set of scams that have just hit the payment platform.
The Greater Glasgow Police Division said scammers are using PayPal's money request service to steal money from users.READ MORE:A spokesperson said:"Scammers are taking advantage of PayPal's money request service, making random requests to accounts. This generates a real e-mail from PayPal, making it look official.
"In the notes section, they present themselves as a business requesting a payment, providing a free phone number. By calling the number, scammers will then try to persuade you to provide payment with some other way."If you receive a suspicious e-mail from Paypal, forward it to [email protected]
