An incredible staff member at a major supermarket has been praised after bosses discovered she spends all of her free time volunteering.
Asda Maryhill worker Carol Cairns is being applauded for"going above and beyond" both in work and on her days off spent helping the homeless community in Glasgow.She began her volunteering during the pandemic and has been working with the charity every day for three years. A member of Asda's ambient team, Carol said:"I tend to do stuff every day for Kindness, but predominantly on a Sunday and a Monday which are my days off."It was good to go out and help people at nighttime. We delivered hot meals and made sure folk were all right and we kept doing it from then onwards.Kindness Homeless Street Team Charity Chairperson, Laura McSorley, described Carol as"an amazing person".
