Police Scotland officers have shut down Argyle Street in the city centre after a suspicious item was found in a nearby premises.

Emergency services have begun to disperse from the scene of the incident with the police tape removed from Argyle Street. However some shops remain closed.Multiple emergency services are at the scene including police, fire and ambulance services.Members of the public have been urged to avoid Argyle Street following the incident. Police have confirmed there is no risk to the wider public.: "There are a lot of police standing guard and the street has been taped off.
