New character posters for Gladiator II see Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, and Pedro Pascal ready to entertain in Ridley Scott's sequel.
“From legendary director Ridley Scott, Gladiator II continues the epic saga of power, intrigue, and vengeance set in Ancient Rome,” the official synopsis reads. “Years after witnessing the death of the revered hero Maximus at the hands of his uncle, Lucius is forced to enter the Colosseum after his home is conquered by the tyrannical Emperors who now lead Rome with an iron fist.
The screenplay was written by David Scarpa , based on a story by Scarpa and Peter Craig. In addition to directing the film, Scott produces Gladiator II alongside Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, Michael Pruss, and David Franzoni. Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald, Raymond Kirk, and Aidan Elliot serve as executive producers.
Gladiator II will be released in United States theaters on November 15, 2024, from Paramount Pictures.
