Richards Bay FC have secured automatic promotion to DStv Premiership after clinching the GladAfrica Championship title on the final day of the season.
The Natal Rich Boyz entered the final matchday top of the log and had their destiny in their own hands against Cape Town Spurs, who were already safe from relegation. However, the men from the KwaZulu-Natal only managed to secure a point against Shaun Bartlett's charges which was enough to clinch the title on the final day.
It was the same outcome for second-place University of Pretoria who were held to a goalless draw by Hungry Lions FC in their final encounter of the season. AmaTuks will now compete in the Premier Soccer League promotion/relegation play-offs after finishing second.
