A grassroots movement is making men connect and talk about the issues they're facing in their lives.
Organisers say the groups are for men that don't want to just have superficial conversations with their mates."As we evolve into the modern world, we're finding spaces less and less where men come together for a purpose.
But a group of men sitting around a table having lunch or dinner are not equipped to provide professional mental health services if they're needed."So there's a thing called a 'safety net'," David Pointon said."The first safety net is they might be able to support just by listening. "The opportunity to connect with others where we can feel safe to be transparent is a fundamental human need," founder and principal clinical psychologist, The Anxiety Clinic, Jodie Lowinger told The Drum.
