Traveling to Immaculate Heart, No. 8 Sparta was originally supposed to be the hosting team on Tuesday. But things changed and both squads had to act quickly to get this match in.
“I’ve never seen them play like this. This was the most locked in they have ever looked. These girls didn’t make a single mistake and I could not be more proud of what they did today,” Sparta head coach Caitlin Jozefczyk said.Per usual, Sparta spread the wealth on offense, which made it difficult even for an elite IHA defense to diminish.
Sparta has won 24 straight matches dating back to last fall and has yet slow down. In 2023, the Spartans garnered two ranked wins this past week against reigning state champions in IHA and Westfield.
