Listen to _girlinred_'s new single MidnightLove
In every breakup, everyone has their role to play: the dumper or the dumpee. But on her latest song, Norwegian pop sensation Marie Ulven is flipping the script.
On Tuesday , Ulven unveiled her newest track"Midnight Love," a piano ballad that sees the singer pining after her lover, knowing the entire time that they don't love her the way she does."I know I’m the last one you try to call/ But I always give in to give you it all," she sings. In a statement, though, Ulven revealed that the song is based on a real experience, but written from the other person's perspective instead of her own."This song is pretty much me reflecting on how small I’ve made someone else feel. Even though I never meant be a d--k, I was. We met up recently after she heard the song and I apologized. I think she forgave me.”
