Authorities have issued an emergency warning as strong winds push the fire at Briagolong towards the Princes Highway.

An emergency warning is in place for Seacombe, Loch Sport, Briagolong, Stockdale, Iguana Creek and Glenaladale in Victoria. Keep up to date withTwo bushfires in Victoria's east have been upgraded to emergency level, as strong winds push the fire north of Briagolong towards the Princes Highway.

The fire is travelling south-easterly from Duffy Road towards the Princes Highway at Munro and Delvine.On the coast, the fire at Loch Sport is back to emergency level after being downgraded to advice on Sunday.The fire started near Lakeside Track in the Gippsland Coastal Park. Emergency Victoria on Monday issued several flood warnings for nearly 20 major rivers, from the Ovens River in the state's north-east to the Snowy, Bemm, Cann, Tambo, Mitchell, and Genoa Rivers in the far east.

"Early [Tuesday] into lunchtime, there will be some 100 kilometre per hour winds on elevated areas," he said. "We could get some severe damaging winds on Thursday, in the eastern parts, plus we've got potential thunderstorms as well in the north," Mr Trainor said.Farmers desperate for rain
