MANILA, Philippines — Tim Cone knows each conference poses a new challenge.
And Barangay Gin ebra's upcoming PBA Philippine Cup best-of-five semifinal series versus Meralco won't be any different. For one, the Bolts were the only PBA squad in the all-Filipino conference to hand the Gin Kings a severe beating in the elimination round to the tune of 91-73 on March 15.That game saw Meralco's razor-sharp defense hold the league's most popular squad to just 27, first half points.
The Bolts advanced to the semis to set their date versus the Gin Kings after clobbering the NLEX Road Warriors, 100-81 en route to a two-game sweep of their quarterfinal series.The 66-year-old Cone said the video breakdown will allow them to see in detail what went wrong the first time they played the Bolts. And more importantly, make the corresponding adjustment heading to their race-to-three wins semifinal series versus Meealco.
