Gilroy man arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting second girl

Police say the incidents happened during a YMCA of Silicon Valley outing to the Morgan Hill Aquatic Center.

on a 10-year-old girl during a field trip last month has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a second child on the same outing, police said.

Anthony Joseph Ramon, 25, of Gilroy, was initially arrested and charged on July 9, according to the Morgan Hill Police Department. On the same day, officers received a report that a second 10-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by Ramon, police said Friday, adding that both incidents happened during a field trip to the Morgan Hill Aquatic Center. The first incident was reported on June 30. Detectives obtained a warrant for Ramon’s arrest and took him into custody Thursday.

He was booked into Santa Clara County jail but was later released after posting bail. The YMCA of Silicon Valley placed Ramon on leave during the initial investigation, according to police.
