The Giants play their first preseason game in one week.
New York Giants linebackers Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux as the Giants open training camp for the 2024 NFL season, Wednesday, July 24, 2024, in East Rutherford, N.J.
The Giants weren’t in full pads on Thursday and the offensive line was not all healthy, but still, the interior defensive line often collapsed the pocket. Van Roten struggled, and with it being his first day of camp, the Giants also tried Austin Schlottmann, who wasn’t great either. It’s clear the Giants don’t care about positional fit as much as they want to put the five best offensive lineman on the field at all times. The only ones who are going to stay in their starting position the whole season are Andrew Thomas at left tackle and Eluemunor at right tackle.
