The Giants quarterback is on track to return for the Giants' Week 9 game against the Raiders.
New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has been cleared for contact and is on track to play next weekend when the team visits the Las Vegas Raiders in the first of a three-game road swing.Jones, injured in Week 5 against the Miami Dolphins when linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel sacked him, had missed the last three games while working through his injury.
While he and the team kept most of the details of the injury under wraps, Jones did eventually admit that the injury was creating issues on the left side of his neck and down his arm that were part of the reason why doctors withheld the green light to clear him. But Jones, who in the off-season signed a four-year, $160 million contract, was always confident he'd be able to return at some point this year.
